Marie Colvin and Remi Ochlik

Marie Colvin and Remi Ochlik killed in deadly assault on Syrian city of Homs.

Sixty people have been killed in Homs, including two foreign reporters, as government forces continue to shell the central Syrian city. The bodies were recovered yesterday from Bab Amr after an afternoon bombardment. Among those killed were Marie Colvin, a US reporter working for the UK’s Sunday Times newspaper and the BBC, and French photographer Remi Ochlik working for Paris Match. Omar Shakir, an activist in Bab Amr, told Al Jazeera that the Western reporters were killed after a building, used by activists as a media centre, was shelled. Nine people were reportedly killed in that attack and Sunday Times photographer Paul Conroy was injured, along with two other reporters.
